------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is TAC?
TAC is a grassroots organization that campaigns for greater HIV treatment for South Africans, including many life-saving interventions and implementation of transmission prevention programs. South Africa has one of the worst HIV/ AIDS epidemics on earth. Fuelled by poverty and lack of community resources, the nation risks being overwhelmed by the AIDS crisis. Billions of rand are needed every year to fight the epidemic. TAC has battled an often complacent government over inadequate policies, and educates people about the AIDS crisis and how they can take action to help themselves and others.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is the goal of SL TAC?
It costs $720 US dollars (approximately 200,000L) to provide each person with anti-retroviral drugs for ONE year. Our long-range goal is to raise enough Linden to provide treatment to five individuals (1,000,000L). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What can I do to help?
Please be generous. We have kiosks set up around SL. Also, many clubs will be hosting charity events to support TAC, and your attendance will be appreciated!

WOW!!!!!! Two things to report, both sooo significant!!!! On SATURDAY Gay Zone Germany and Club Arsenal had a TAC fundraiser that brought the TAC total to 954,458 Linden!!! A big hand to Sascha Laval and Sasch Petrov for organizing this event.
When Finnegan Chesnokov heard this news he just came over to the club and GAVE the Lil Hippo 45,000L..so we have HIT the GOAL!!!!!!!
We are at 1,001,458L!!! We are ready to DONATE in RL over $3,500 USD, enough to keep 5 South Africans alive with medical treatment for a year. This is really BIG NEWS --and SL TAC would like to thank everyone who contributed and brought this success to the SL Gay Community!
